Laborer

Job Description – Restoration Specialists/ Laborers will perform manual labor tasks on-site to include, digging, raking, seeding, placement of erosion matting, dewatering, site clean-up, clearing and grubbing and operation of secondary equipment, such as track-loaders and off-road hauling trucks. Laborers will operate grade rods and laser levels to assist Operator with excavation and grading. Project sites will be located all over Maryland with a focus on PG County.

Job Requirements – This position requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in ecological construction, including stormwater management, stream restoration, wetland enhancement, shoreline stabilization or similar construction activities. Valid Driver’s License and transportation to site required.

Operator

Job Description – Operators will be responsible for any and all excavation and grading tasks involved in ecological construction projects. Projects include stormwater management, stream restoration, shoreline stabilization and wetland enhancements. Duties include but are not limited to excavation, fine grading, backfilling (to include construction of in-stream structures, outfalls, stone stills, etc.), loading trucks for haul-off, materials handling, interpretation of drawings and labor when necessary. In the absence of the Site Foreman, the Operator is expected to take on role as Acting Foreman. Project sites will be located all over Maryland with a focus on PG County, MD.

Job Requirements – This position requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in ecological construction, including stormwater management, stream restoration, wetland enhancement, shoreline stabilization or similar construction activities in a comparable role. Experience with stormwater facilities and placement of in-stream structures required. Valid Driver’s License and transportation to site required, Commercial Driver’s License a plus.

Site Foreman

Job Description – The Ecological Construction Foreman is responsible for all construction operations on-site and manages the daily operations of a 4 to 7 person crew. Duties include but are not limited to morning safety briefings, daily schedule, forecasting of materials, tracking of deliveries, oversight of work quality, interpretation of drawings, operation of heavy equipment and labor when necessary. The Site Foreman is the first point of contact on-site and must represent the company in a professional manner while dealing with all inspectors, contract managers and visitors. Project sites will be located all over Maryland with a focus on PG County. The Foreman reports directly to the Project Manager and will be responsible for a company truck.

Job Requirements – This position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in ecological construction, including stormwater management, stream restoration, wetland enhancement, shoreline stabilization or similar construction activities in a comparable role. Education and experience in habitat management, ecology or similar field a plus. Valid Driver’s License required, Commercial Driver’s License a plus. PG County resident a plus.

Compensation – Salary based on experience.
