About the Company…

Bourn Environmental began in 2014 with the goal of performing ecological restoration projects for public and private clients with an emphasis on wildlife habitat. The only projects that we take on are those that benefit the Chesapeake Bay watershed. We like to say that we are restoring the ecological balance for wildlife and water quality, and that takes a lot of heavy machinery and hard work!

The logo represents nature’s engineers… The beaver creates dams, thereby expanding wetland habitat throughout the floodplain, knocking sediment and nutrients out of the water and increasing biodiversity. The willow holds everything in place, and can quickly take root in early succession to stabilize the soil in the face of run-off. These are all things that we strive to do at Bourn Environmental, so the beaver and the willow seemed like appropriate mascots.
